One Month Yoga Intensives Course in Burnaby BC
Yoga is a vast, precise, and timeless system. When practiced regularly, one achieves greater health, strength, flexibility, balance, peace of mind and countless other benefits. We emphasize regular, daily practice as a way to truly feel what effects Yoga can have in your daily life. A Yoga Intensive is the situation to do just that.
For four weeks, you will have the opportunity to make this commitment to yourself; to work through your limitations, develop your strengths and create a daily habit of a healthy Yoga Practice. The "Intensive" part of this course is really your commitment to coming five days a week for four weeks, and moving through the challenges and growth that come with developing yourself through this ancient discipline.
The information shared throughout this transforming month is coming from a deep-rooted lineage. The training and teachings are coming from the wisdom of our Masters, Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda, two world-recognized Saints and authorities on Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Karma Yoga. Through their grace, guidance and blessings, the teachings of Yoga will be passed onto you by the best of your Instructors' ability.
We welcome you to join us for a journey towards health and happiness through Yoga!

The Yoga postures (asanas) and the breathing exercises (pranayama) are meditative and serve to harmonize the body, the mind and the intellect. This aids in:
Alternating focus on movement, breath and conscious relaxation brings awareness within, and encourages calmness—a real experience of ancient Yoga that will bring you a sense of well-being. Leave feeling peaceful and rejuvenated.
The pre-requisite for a Level 2 Yoga Intensive is the completion of a previous Level 1 or 2 Yoga Intensive with Sabu. The course will move gradually forward from where the Level 1 left off, but will not start at the very beginning, as Level 1 Beginners Intensives do.
Throughout the Month-Long Level 2 Intermediate Yoga Intensive you will continue to develop, strengthen and build the Yoga practice that you learned in your Level 1 Yoga Beginners Intensive. You will have more time in this class which will be used to dive deeper into relaxation, variations of the Yoga postures and more specific philosophy about Yoga, positive thinking, mediation and more. Yoga is a never-ending journey, and the Level 2 Yoga Intensive is meant to further challenge and expand your knowledge and practice of it.
The method you will be learning comes from the Sivananda Yoga Tradition, founded by Swami Vishnudevananda in 1957, who came to the West from India to share the great wisdom of Yoga with all of us. Swami Vishnudevananda, disciple of Swami Sivananda, introduced a very methodic system of Yoga practice for a balanced life, including twelve basic yoga postures (asanas), relaxation (savasana), breathing exercises (pranayama) and sun salutations (surya namaskar). You may also be introduced to other various practices of Pranayama, Kriyas, philosophy and Meditation techniques.
Following level II, students who are ready to commit to their practice in a new way can enrol in our teacher Trainings. Talk to Sabu about this at anytime.
Sabu will customize the training and direct feedback on your progress and prepares you to continue your home practice on a much more deep and advanced level.
